Affiliate & Sponsor Disclosure
Remember Freedom may earn a commission or a flat fee from a small number of clearly labeled links. Those links are limited in number, limited in kind, and never placed where they could color a constitutional claim.

Where paid links appear
One sponsor line beneath the essay
A single labeled line after the closing section of an article. Maximum 1 per publication.
Book and resource links inside Sources
Appended to the end of the Sources list, each carrying its own visible label. Maximum 2 per publication.
These are the only two placements on the site. When a slot has no paid link in it, nothing is rendered — there are no empty advertising frames, interstitials, pop-ups, or newsletter capture forms anywhere on Remember Freedom.
Every sponsor and affiliate link on this site
This register is generated from the same list the articles read from, so it always matches what is actually published. Each entry names the program, the link, the label a reader sees, and the article it appears in.
No paid links are live
Remember Freedom currently carries no affiliate or sponsor links. The two labeled slots exist in the article template and in the Sources list, and both render nothing while empty. The moment a link is added it appears in this list, with its program name, its destination, and a short description of what it points to.
The rules we hold to
- No more than 3 paid links in any single publication.
- Every paid link is labeled where it appears, not only on this page.
- No paid link appears inside quoted constitutional text, a court holding, or any passage stating a legal standard.
- Paid links are limited to books, archives, courses, and research tools relevant to civic education.
- No advertiser reviews, approves, or is shown an article before publication.
- No political party, campaign, candidate committee, or government agency may purchase placement.
- Payment never buys editorial coverage, a favorable characterization, or the omission of a fact.
- Any paid link that later proves unreliable is removed and noted in the article's Corrections block.
How labels read
Two labels are used, and they mean different things:
- Affiliate link
- A link to a product or service a reader may buy. If a purchase follows, this site may receive a commission at no additional cost to the reader. The link was chosen editorially before any program was joined.
- Paid sponsor
- A placement purchased directly for a flat fee. The sponsor's name is shown with the link. Sponsors receive no editorial input and no advance review.
Every paid link also carries the rel="sponsored" attribute in the page markup, as search engines ask publishers to do.
Contact
Advertising questions, correction requests, and permissions correspondence all go to the same mailbox:
rememberfreedom.com@thedspot.net
Addresses for this publication follow the house pattern thedomain.com@thedspot.net — the site's own domain name as the local part, delivered to the shared editorial mailbox. Confirm the production domain before this page is published so the printed address matches the live site.
Remember Freedom publishes educational commentary, not legal advice. It is independent and is not affiliated with any political party, campaign, or government agency. Paid links do not change that, and no advertiser has ever been permitted to review an article before it ran.
